Our accounting services are available in two tiers. Whether you need basic support or have tasks with greater volume or complexity, we have a package that will check all the boxes.

For a set monthly fee, S&H can handle any combination of the following:

Comprehensive Bookkeeping
Collaborative Bookkeeping – Done-With-You Services
Strategic Accounting – Done-For-You Services
Financial Statement Presentation
Payroll Oversight
Calculation of Quarterly Estimated Tax Liability
… and more!

Tax Services

At S&H, we support both businesses and individuals with tax preparation. We stay on top of ever-changing tax regulations so that you don’t have to! Our decades of experience poise us to identify nuances specific to your assets or industry.

Our tax services include:

Tax Preparation
Tax Planning
Tax Consulting
IRS Representation
Audit Support

Consult calls are for prospective clients to learn how our services might help them. We’re not able to provide tax advice without a formalized client relationship and sufficient information about a client’s assets.

Business Valuation

A business valuation is a third-party analysis of your business to determine its overall financial value. There are many organizations and consultants who offer this service – but it’s important to know that not all providers are trained to identify and navigate nuanced variables that can greatly impact report findings.

Owner Emily Haswell is a Certified Valuation Analysts (CVA), and has partnered with dozens of businesses on an in-depth review of their assets and external factors that contribute to the value of their businesses.

An accurate valuation is essential to maximize the outcome of whatever need gave rise to the valuation. Situations that might call for a business valuation include:

Buying or Selling a Business
Resolving Shareholder or Corporate Disputes
Succession Planning
Estate, Gift, and Income Tax Compliance
Loan Requirements Set by Small Business Administration (SBA) and Other Regulatory Agencies
… and more!

Strategic Advisory Services

Many business owners spend most of their time working in their businesses, and not *on* their businesses.

Not only is it important to have a longer-term strategic plan, but you also need to make sure that your financial resources can support it.

Our Strategic Advisory Services are a natural complement to our other services, because we can use that data to take a holistic view of your business and provide more in-depth analysis.

Some of the resources and services we provide include:

Preparing a Business Plan (for a Newer Business)
Preparing a Multi-Year Forecast Model (for More Established Businesses)
Guiding Through Exit Planning (a Multi-Year Process for Business Owners Thinking About Selling)
Providing Assurance Services, Including Reviewed and Complied Financial Statements, to Meet Requirements from Creditors
… and more! Please inquire about your situation to see if we might be of service.

Commonly Asked Questions

Commonly Asked Questions

Commonly Asked Questions

01

Are there any client profiles you do not work with?

S&H is a welcoming organization and serves clients of all backgrounds. We offer a free, no-obligation, 30-minute consultation where we can get to know you. If at that time it’s clear that your needs are fairly straightforward and could be served more cost-effectively elsewhere, we will redirect you to a more appropriate service provider.

02

How much do your services cost?

As a company that values open and honest communication, we also believe in price transparency. But the nature of our work is so highly customized that it’s not possible for us to give even a range of pricing that would accurately reflect your unique situation. A free consultation will give us the information we need to better speak to your overall investment.

Broadly speaking, we work with clients on a monthly retainer basis, and also offer price-per-service for tax services.

03

Do I need my records to be in a specific order before I engage with S&H?

Whatever condition your books are in, we always recommend contacting us sooner rather than later. Believe us when we say that we’ve seen everything! Our job is to help you get things under control, and not to feel bad about any past practices that haven’t served you.

04

Do you only work with clients in New Hampshire?

Some of our clients live in New Hampshire or Greater New England, but we serve clients across the continental U.S.
